”7 -Days Göbeklitepe & Mt. Nemrut Tour” This 7-day fully customizable private tour covers Cappadocia, Mount Nemrut, Göbeklitepe, Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep. This tour offers you a mysterious, cultural and impressive tour of southeast Turkey. After experiencing the hot air balloons and witnessing the unique landscapes of Cappadocia, this eastern tour will take you back to the past.


Day 1 – Arrival to Istanbul

Welcome to Turkey! Upon landed to Istanbul New Airport(IST) or Sabiha Gökcen Airport(SAW), you make your self-check-in with the flight informations provided to you after you booked this tour and take your flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival at Cappadocia Airport, our team will welcome you at the exit gate inside the domestic terminal where you will see our team holding a sign which is your name on it. Then there will be approximately an hour transfer distance to Cappadocia, your stay will be in Cappadocia.

Day 2 –  Northern Cappadocia Tour (Red Tour )

The tour will depart at 9.30 am and you will be picked up from your hotel by your guide before departure time.The first stop is Uçhisar Castle, the highest rock formation in  Cappadocia.  The guide will explain just how this amazing landscape came into existence. The second stop of this tour is Open Air Museum. Open Air Museum is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1985 and known as holy for the first Christians. You will see churches, rock formations used as shelters and monasteries made with stone and It worth to come from a long way.

Love Valley is one of the best point where you can see the increadible forms of fairy chimneys with a panoramic view.  Paşabağ (also known as Monks Valley) is the best area where you can observe the formations of fariry chimneys, also some different types of them like; three-headed fairy chimneys and the thiniest neck fairy chimney. Now, time for a little rest for our valued guests by lunch at a local restaurant.  The next stop is Devrent Valley (“Imagination Valley”) - a stunning valley where you can spot natural rock formations in many recognisable shapes in cappadocia, including the famous camel-shaped rock. Use your imagination and see what other shapes you can find.

The next place to visit is the town Avanos. The most famous historical feature of Avanos,  is the production of traditional pottery. The ceramic trade and numerous pottery factories in this district date back to the Hittites, and ceramic clay obtained from the red clay of Kızılırmak has always been used. If you want, you can try to make your own unique pottery after the demonstration.

One of the best  stop of the tour is Ürgüp. We can say Ürgüp is the  most  active and crowded place of the region. The attraction point of Ürgüp is its special fairy chimneys that look like a nuclear family and called as ‘Three Beauties / Üç Güzeller.

The region is also famous with its handmade carpets, as the last stop we will see  a traditional Cappadocia Carpet Factory.

At the end of the tour transfer back to hotel and overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Day 3 – Southern & Underground City Tour (Green Tour)

Note: Hot Air Balloon tour is optional for this morning.

The tour will depart at 9.30 am and you will be picked up from your hotel by your guide before departure time. The first step of the green tour is Göreme Panorama which is a point to see and understand Cappadocia. The second stop is Underground City. Kaymaklı Underground City has 8 open floors for visiting. It is the largest underground settlement in Cappadocia, which dates back to the centuries. In Kaymaklı where many people live together in ages ago you’ll feel like in a time machine and be surprised every floor and rooms you go deeper.

Selime Monastery is one of the first places of Christianity and at the same time the oldest monastery in Cappadocia.Selime Monastery, one of the most photogenic places in Cappadocia, is also called the cathedral, and there are some living quarters in it, such as a missionary school and a church.

The next stop , Ihlara Valley is one of the most beautiful valley around the world and it is exactly like an open-air museum. To reach this valley, you’ll walk under by numerous stairs and visit Ağaçaltı Church, which has impressing art left from 10th and 13th century and finally walk through the riverside of the Melendiz River to Belisırma Village nearly 3.5 km walking way with a peaceful sound.

After a long walking tour you have a break for lunch at the riverside! If the season is summer or spring, Belisırma Village is more colorful. You can rest your feet in the water when you eat something in the pergola over the river.

The other famous Valley in Cappadocia is Pigieon Valley near Uçhisar. You can  see the pigeon houses carved from the stone by ancient inhabitants. In Cappadocia, gemstones and semi-precious stones are processed in onyx studios and these studios are one of the pleasant stops of Green Tour Cappadocia.

At the end of the tour transfer back to hotel and overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Day 4 – Private Transfer to Mt. Nemrut

After   having  breakfast at hotel and check out,  we are heading  to Adıyaman. Stop  off at Kahramanmaras for lunch and a taste famous ice cream.

Upon arrival to Kahta, check in to hotel and take a rest. Overnight stay in Adıyaman


Day 5 : Sunrise at Mt. Nemrut & Arsemia Old City

Early  in the morning we   are  heading   to the peak  of the mount Nemrut (one of the most popular UNESCO world cultural heritage sites), watching the sunset, be amazed by the colossal heads and statues of ancient deities, as you step into mythology. This remarkable landmark rests at an elevation of 8000 ft. The mountain top complex is consisted  of two flattened areas strewn with statues and separated by a false peak of crushed rock. Antiochus built the entire complex roughly  2000 years ago as a monument of his divine ancestry. Also definitely take time to drop by the old castle, Arsemeia, cross over the still functioning Cendere Bridge (Septimius Severus bridge) dating all the way back to the 3rd century and Tumulus Tomb of Karakus.

After visiting Nemrut and Arsemia we will head  to Sanliurfa and Harran. On the way to Sanlıurfa we will have a tea break at Ataturk Dam, which is the biggest dam in Middle east.

Upon arrival, check in our hotel and take a rest. Overnight stay in Şanlıurfa


Day 6 –  Göbeklitepe & Abraham’s Pool

After breakfast, we are beginning to  explore  Sanliurfa. Urfa has been occupied since the Babylonians followed by the Hurrites, Hittites, Assyrians, Greeks. We will drop by Urfa Archaeological Museum. The  museum display a huge collection, founded from Harran and Gobeklitepe Area. We will also drop by  the holy sites at the Ainzelha, a lake with millions of domesticated fish. While in Urfa we will drop by  the cave where the prophet Abraham was born. Then, walk through the local covered bazaar of Sanliurfa. Walk through the town to discover the many undiscovered treasures.

We will have a delicious lunch with Turkish famous kebabs. After lunch we will drop by nearby Harran and see the unbelievable beehive houses. Harran- according to the Bible- was the site where prophet Abraham spent a few years with his family before moving on to Israel, the Promised Land. There are extraordinary photos opportunities in this area. In the afternoon you will see Gobeklitepe, The Göbeklitepe Archaeological Site is located near the Village of Örencik, 18 kilometers northeast of the city center of Şanlıurfa. The area was discovered in 1963 during a surface survey conducted  in partnership with the Universities of Istanbul and Chicago and was described as a “V52 Neolithic Settlement”. The real value of the area began to be unearthed with the excavations began  after 1994. After these studies, it was understood that Göbeklitepe is a cult center dating back to 12000 years.

At the end of the our  tour,  we transfer  you back to hotel and overnight stay in Şanlıurfa


Day 7 –  Gaziantep & Zeugma Mosaic Museum

After having  breakfast at hotel and  check out,we are  heading  to Gaziantep. We will first drop by  Gaziantep Mosaic Museum. The museum display  superb mosaic discovered at the Roman site of Belkis-Zeugma before the Birecik Dam flooded most of the site. We will drop by  the old city castle which is located in the heart  of the city and copper bazaar. This bazaar is one of the most special and oldest bazaars in Turkey. You can find variety of copper handicrafts. We will also have the opportunity to taste popular baklava; a sweet pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and sweetened and held together with syrup or honey (Baklava is originally from Gaziantep).

After visiting the city, we will drop you off to airport for your evening flight back to İstanbul.

After arrival, Our team  will welcome you at the exit gate inside of the international terminal holding a sign with your name. Then we will take you to your hotel in Istanbul. (The Hotel accommodation for this day is not included.)
